Five Things Women Should Not Do

After years of hearing women and men complain about their relationship problems, I've come up with this list of what not to do in order to maintain successful relationships. Ladies, please follow these rules in order to avoid the common bullshit.

1. SAY, "WE CAN JUST HAVE SEX"

Ladies, please stop saying this to men. It’s a lie. You know that emotions will eventually be involved, so don’t waste your time. Plus, if or when you do want to take it further, it he will remind you of this statement.

2. LOOK THROUGH HIS PHONE/EMAIL

It never ends well - either you find out something you don’t want to know, or you feel guilty for going through his phone and find nothing. Besides, anything done in darkness will come to light eventually, so wait your suspicions out. They’ll surface on their own.

3. TELL YOUR GIRLFRIENDS ABOUT THE GREAT SEX LIFE YOU ENJOY WITH YOUR MAN

She or they will either attempt to sleep with him or always quietly look at him with desire. Be on the safe side; tell them it’s bad.

4. THINK YOU CAN CHANGE HIM

Don’t expect anything different than what he is now. If he does change, that’s an unexpected bonus. It’s like getting a letter from the IRS informing you that they made a mistake and will be sending you extra funds: possible, but very unlikely. If you don’t love who he is now, you probably won’t love him later, either.

5. SAY YOUR BOYFRIEND "HAS POTENTIAL"

How can I explain it in “non-man” vocabulary or non-basketball or sports terms? Put it this way: every guy Carrie dated in Sex in the City “had potential,” but it took a lot of guys and six seasons before she ended up with Mr. Big. Your boyfriend’ll never live up to the lofty expectations you make of him; he can only be the best he can be, and hopefully that’ll make you happy enough.

I hope you take this advice to heart. Remember, ladies, we're just men - we're not that bright.
